Ignite learning: put reading at the heart of inquiry-based learning

marzo 26

Unlock the essential link between reading and inquiry-based learning methods. This talk will help you integrate reading as a core resource that actively fuels Problem-Based, Team-Based, and Project-Based learning activities. We will discover how you can harness reading as an essential activity that engages the basic four skills, as well as visual/multimodal literacy, critical literacy, and collaboration. We will think in terms of short- and long-term projects at both primary and secondary levels. You will receive clear, age-appropriate scaffolding, with one activity example tailored for each level per approach.

Nóra Wünsch-Nagy is a researcher and teacher of Linguistics. She has experience in teaching primary, secondary and third level students both in the public and private sectors. She has also co-authored the HELBLING Readers Blog for many years. Her research areas include multimodality, social semiotics, museum education, arts integration, and genre pedagogy in L2 contexts.
